Terms of Service

Effective date: October 31, 2026

These terms apply when you use milemarkerfiling.com or hire Mile Marker Filing. Mile Marker Filing is a business name used by Joshua Brown, a sole proprietor in Muskego, Wisconsin ("we," "us"). "You" means the motor carrier or person hiring us.

Acceptance. By accepting our quote by email, signing our service authorization, or paying our invoice, you agree to these terms. Our services are for motor carrier businesses for business purposes, not for personal, family, or household use.

1. We are a private business

Mile Marker Filing is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), the Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) Plan, or any government agency. You can file your MCS-150 biennial update yourself for free at motus.dot.gov, and you can register directly with the UCR Plan at www.ucr.gov. Our fees are for our help only.

This website is not affiliated with the Unified Carrier Registration Plan. This website is operated by a private company that provides a private registration service for an additional fee. You are not required to use this site to register with the UCR Plan. You may register directly with the UCR Plan at www.ucr.gov.

2. Our services

MCS-150 biennial update. We are registered in FMCSA's Motus system as a Transportation Service Provider (filer 4747604). That registration is not an FMCSA approval, license, or endorsement. We prepare your update in Motus using the information you give us. You add us as your service provider in your own Motus account.
UCR filing service. We help prepare your annual UCR registration using the information you give us.

3. Your responsibilities

Give us complete, accurate, and current information.
Review and confirm every field before anything is submitted.
For MCS-150 updates, your company official certifies and submits the filing in Motus.
For UCR, your authorized representative reviews and approves the registration.
You remain responsible for your own regulatory compliance.
Do not send us your Social Security number, driver's license, or any password. We do not need them.

4. We never ask for passwords

We will never ask for your Motus, Login.gov, UCR, PayPal, or any other password. Do not send it to us. If someone claiming to be us asks for one, contact us at milemarkerfiling@gmail.com.

5. Fees and payment

Our service fees are listed on our homepage. Work begins only after we agree on the work.
Invoices are sent via PayPal from Wishful Ventures (Joshua Brown's business account) for Mile Marker Filing services. The charge appears on statements as WISHFUL VENTURES / WISHFULVEN. We never send government-looking notices.
Government fees (such as the UCR fee) are passed through at cost with no markup. Once a government fee has been paid to the government, it is nonrefundable by us.

6. Refunds

If we haven't started work, we'll refund our full service fee. After work has started, refunds are handled case by case. Email milemarkerfiling@gmail.com.

7. Records

We keep records and screenshots of the filings we help with, and we send you a copy. See our Privacy Policy.

8. No guarantee

Government agencies decide whether to accept a filing and how long it takes. We do not guarantee approval, acceptance, or timing by FMCSA, the UCR Plan, or any agency.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

OUR SERVICES AND THIS WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of liability and sole remedy

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO OUR SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE SERVICE FEE YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE INVOLVED. YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IS A REFUND OF THAT SERVICE FEE. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR FINES, PENALTIES, OR LOSSES CAUSED BY INACCURATE OR INCOMPLETE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Waukesha County, Wisconsin.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. The terms in effect when you hire us apply to that work.
